Anand Gadapa was born in Andhrapradesh, in 1971. He studied Master of visual Arts (Art History & Aesthetics) from Faculty of fine Arts, M.S.University, Baroda in 2006 and Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from J.N.T. University, Hyderabad in 2002. He participated in many group shows held at Sarjan Art Gallery, Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore, Prakrit Gallery, Chennai, Bank On Art, Delhi, Birla Academy, Kolkata, His paintings shimmer with intense colors, but treated flatly, harmonizing with folk-inspired beasts and human figures in the back drop are a subtle critique of the hideous socio-political reality and escalating material and ethical deficiency in contemporary civilization.

The artist presently lives and works in Baroda.
