Punam Agarwal, a distinguished contemporary artist based in Mumbai, has carved a niche for herself with her profoundly expressive and thought-provoking artworks. She holds a commerce degree from HR College, Mumbai (1992), and has further enriched her academic background with a Child Education Course from Sophia College.
Her artistic journey commenced in 2009 with her debut solo exhibition, The Journey, at the Artist Center, Kala Ghoda. Over the years, she has showcased her work in some of India’s most esteemed art spaces, including the Jehangir Art Gallery, Leela Art Gallery, and India Habitat Centre.
Her work has reached audiences across national and international platforms, featuring in renowned exhibitions such as the India Art Festival, Art Miami Spectrum, and the Affordable Art Fair in Singapore. She has also presented her creations in distinguished galleries across major cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Dubai.
Punam’s artistic expression delves into themes of introspection, spirituality, and human emotions, with her acclaimed series The Kingdom Within earning significant recognition. Acknowledging her impact in the art world, she was honored as a jury member for a children’s painting competition organized by the Ministry of Power in 2012.
Continuing to captivate art enthusiasts, her recent exhibitions include Kinship at Amika Gallery in Frankfurt (2024) and participation in the FICCI Flo Festival in Delhi (2024).
